...GO TIGERS 2006!

Infante, Guillen, Bonderman Omar Infante, Carlos Guillen and Jeremy Bonderman

22 years have passed since the last title of my "fantabulosos" Detroit Tigers. The new manager Jim Leyland has a difficult mission. The team signed the veterans Kenny Rogers and Todd Jones, to strengthen the pitching staff, but it still does not seem sufficient. Today more that never, Detroit needs the production of Magglio Ordonez and Carlos Guillen. Now four will be the Venezuelan baseball players in the big roster, because with Magglio and Guillen there will be as regular players Omar Infante and the pitcher Wilfredo Ledezma. Without a doubt, the Latin players will be important in 2006, with the beetling Puertorican catcher Ivan Rodriguez, the second base Placido Polanco, the first base Carlos Pena; the pitchers Fernando Rodney, Franklin German and Roman Colon. As always, the winning spirit of Dmitri Young will be the point of distiction of Detroit, that awaits a lot from pitchers like Jeremy Bonderman, Mike Maroth and Nate Robertson; from Craig Monroe, Brandon Inge, Chris Shelton, the pitcher Jamie Walker and many others. Also in this years, some questions get revealed: the future of Troy Percival; Justin Verlander and Joel Zumaya; the progress of Curtis Granderson and Nook Logan. I don't know if we will win the Central Division of the American League, but I can be assure that my Tigers will be a better team from this season. The days are closer to remember to baseball that this club, for history and tradition, have always been one of the greater. As a fan of Detroit since the season of 1967, a voice of breath to express by loud Go Tigers!
Pena and Guillen Motives for believing: Carlos Pena and Carlos Guillen
